Francis Chan founded Cornerstone Community Church in Simi Valley, California in 1994 before mega churches were en vogue. In 2010, the celebrated pastor was again ahead of the curve when he quit his job to start a “home church” in San Francisco.
Chan is setting trends yet again with his new “VR Church”. When asked for comment, Chan stated that he felt called to resign his position as head pastor of VR Church and to pursue what God has again “laid on his heart,” which he proceeded to explain is a Snapchat “ministry”. You can read more about it in his forthcoming book titled “Snaps To The Church”.
